Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to deliver your workbook, and we do not sell your data. This policy follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

When you buy: your name, email address, mobile number if you give it, the order reference, the Razorpay order and payment IDs, the date, and any referral code you arrived with. If you buy as a gift, your friend’s name, email and your short note. We do not receive your card or bank details.
When you ask for the free sample: your email address, your name if you give it, and whether you agreed to one follow-up email.
When you send a message: your name, email and message.
When you join the printed-copy list: your name, email, phone number and delivery address.
On this website: a small note in your own browser (a referral code) so we can credit the friend who sent you. We do not run advertising trackers.
If someone sends you the workbook as a gift: they give us your name and email so we can deliver it. We use them only for that delivery, and you can ask us to delete them.

Why we use it

To confirm your payment and send you the workbook, a receipt and any resend you ask for.
If you start an order but the payment does not go through, to send you one reminder.
To send the free sample you asked for and, only if you ticked the box, one follow-up email a few days later. Every follow-up has a one-click unsubscribe link.
To reply to your messages.
To contact you about a printed copy, only if you joined that list.
To keep accounts and records as the law requires, and to answer your questions.

We do not send marketing emails or messages unless you clearly ask for them.

Who sees it

Only the services that help us run the shop: Razorpay (payments), Google (our order records in Google Sheets and our email, through which the workbook is sent), and Netlify (which hosts this website). They handle data only to provide those services. We share data with authorities only when the law requires.

How long we keep it

Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Free-sample requests, messages and printed-copy requests: deleted automatically after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.

Your rights

You may ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you may withdraw your consent at any time. Write to handwrite30@gmail.com and we will reply within 2 working days. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to buy the workbook or join the list for you.
